David advises clients on a wide array of entertainment and media law matters, with a particular focus on transactions in the television, film and digital media industries. He represents production companies, television networks, streaming platforms, financiers, directors, producers, screenwriters, actors and celebrity talent. He has significant experience in structuring and negotiating agreements for content distribution and licensing, film financing, talent services and intellectual property rights acquisitions. David has served as production counsel on numerous feature motion pictures, scripted television series, documentary films and reality television programs. David also advises clients on copyright, fair use and right of publicity issues.
Prior to joining the firm, David was an Associate with the law firm Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP, where he worked on a broad range of entertainment and media matters.
Before attending law school, David worked in television production as a writer, producer and editor, primarily with the Sundance Channel cable network.
